Commentary

The armless record player kit was developed by returning to the starting point of what the basic of the player is.

The turntable uses 12 mm thick flat glass produced by the floating manufacturing method with excellent smoothness.
The success in precision processing of float glass, which had been difficult in the past, has led to the realization of a glass turntable with a high density of 2 kg weight and moderate internal loss.

A 12-pole synchronous motor is used as the drive motor. Since the synchronous motor is directly driven by AC 100 V, it has the advantage that the sound quality is not affected by conditions such as DC stability unlike a DC power supply.
The power supply frequency of 50Hz/60Hz can be adjusted by replacing the motor pulley.

It adopts a simple method of changing the rotation speed by changing the belt, and accurate rotation can be obtained over a long period of time.
33 turns belt the upper side of the pulley and 45 turns belt the lower side of the pulley.

Stainless steel is used for the spindle, and along with the bearing, an ultra-precision finish of micron order is applied to improve stability while improving rotational accuracy.

Any desired arm up to an effective length of 275 mm can be used for the arm base.
Arm can be replaced by arm base sold separately.

There was a specially developed tone arm TA522 as an option sold separately.
The TA522 comes with an arm base TB522.
