Commentary

Stereo preamplifier kit with all stages DC configuration.

The A2012 is based on the know-how obtained with the 5C50 preamp of the Luxman Laboratory Reference Series. All circuits of the preamp, including the equalizer and flat amplifier, use a DC amplifier configuration.

Basic circuits such as the equalizer and flat amplifier are all housed on a single printed circuit board, shielding wires for signal paths are almost eliminated, input circuits are wired in the shortest path, and the left and right channels on the printed circuit board are separated thoroughly to minimize variations in various characteristics caused by wiring when assembled by the user.

Parts such as resistors, semi-fixed resistors and capacitors have been carefully considered.
In addition to the consideration of sound quality, we have adopted a new volume that provides the original continuous variation characteristics of the volume, yet has almost no linkage error between the left and right channels.

It is equipped with a linear equalizer to accurately correct the recording characteristics of all program sources.

Equipped with a twin T-type subsonic filter, it can effectively remove ultra-low frequency noise (5 Hz to 10 Hz) outside the audible band.

Equipped with an attenuator that can be preset in the range of 15 dB ~ 40 dB.

It is equipped with functions such as a two channel tape monitor circuit, a tape dubbing circuit, and a recording output switch.
