Commentary
Tube type pre-main amplifier announced as an improved version of SQ5A.
In addition to adopting a DC ignition system for the preamplifier section, we are also working to reduce hum by carefully examining the parts used.
The tone control NF tone control reduces distortion compared to conventional tone control.
In the SQ5B, since the click stopper is provided at the position of the knob that enables precise measurement of each unit and obtaining flat characteristics, flat characteristics can be obtained at the stopper position.
The front panel is equipped with a unique output meter that incorporates two sets of mechanisms into one meter.
The left and right indicators of the Conometer are independent, so you can monitor the balance and volume change of both channels.
The case uses Art Bond, a special metal plate developed by US Rubber Co. in the United States.
Art Bond is a material with the characteristics of vinyl and metal. It is characterized by being able to freely carry out printing processing of colors and patterns. It also has the advantage of high electrical insulation for amplifiers.
The SQ5B has a unique design using art bond and was selected as a good design product by Osaka Design House.
