LUXMAN L-505u

Commentary

Pre-main amplifier announced as Ultimate edition of the L-505 series.

Only the distortion component is fed back from the output of the amplifier circuit, and a unique amplifier period circuit ODNF is adopted that achieves a fast initial slew rate and ultra-wide bandwidth.
The L-505u uses the latest version 2.2 with parallelized input stages as a power amplifier.

The power supply uses a high-capacity (400 VA) EI power transformer and a Schottky barrier diode with high conversion efficiency to DC voltage.
The C-1000f, the flagship model of the preamplifier, is equipped with a selector switch IC that is used as an attenuator switch for the volume adjustment mechanism LECUA. This reduces the deterioration of sound quality caused by the input switching circuit, and improves separation and crosstalk characteristics.

The original OFC wire is used for the main part of the power supply and signal system, and glass fiber boards with high rigidity are used for all circuit blocks. In addition, Luxman original custom parts made by repeated trial listening are used to improve sound quality.

The front panel is equipped with a separate switch, allowing for separation of power and pre-power.

Available in two color variations : Blaster White with a large power meter shining blue, and champagne Gold (limited color) with a large power meter shining yellow.
