L-505sII
Commentary

As an improved version of the L-505s, this pre-main amplifier incorporates the circuit technology and parts of the L-509s.

The power amplifier section uses Pc150W class large-capacity transistors, high-voltage transistors, and dual transistors for differential amplification. Thus, the output is increased while the size of each element is increased.

CSSC (Complementary Single Stagger Circuit) with ultra-wide bandwidth and high-slew rate characteristics is adopted as circuit technology.
This circuit has a complimentary service configuration. The cut-off frequency can be set extremely high by switching on a grounded base type current transmission stage in the second stage. This ensures the bandwidth of the entire amplifier only by phase rotation in the first stage. As a result, the initial slew rate can be set extremely high and natural sound quality is achieved without any extra correction.

Uses LUX's unique OD β circuit.
A general amplifier uses the NFB method, in which DC and AC feedback are used separately. A servo amplifier that controls DC feedback, which has a large effect on the low-frequency range, is used to provide a large amount of NFB, thereby creating a sense of inconsistency between the tones of the mid-range and low-frequency ranges.
In the OD β circuit, the DC servo amplifier is eliminated by improving the bare characteristics of the circuit, and the sound quality is unified over the entire band.

A large capacity EI core power transformer is used for the power supply.
In addition, the microcomputer circuit that controls the remote control is equipped with a dedicated transformer, which is completely separated from the audio circuit to prevent noise from entering through the loop of the power supply circuit.

Uses newly developed ultra-low noise custom resistor used in L-509s, C-10II and B-10II.
This resistor is based on a carbon film resistor with excellent acoustic characteristics. The amount of information transmitted is improved by examining a wide range of matters including selection of alumina, which is a body porcelain, etching, unit price, terminal material, terminal shape, and press-fitting method.
We also use carefully selected custom parts for electrolytic capacitors and cylindrical capacitors.

The internal construction includes a symmetrical arrangement of heat sinks, block capacitors, and power transformers to reduce external and internal vibrations while maintaining an appropriate weight balance.
The internal shield / isolated structure eliminates interference between circuits by separating the power block, power supply unit, input / output unit and display unit, and reduces leakage flux of the power transformer and external influence.

In order to prevent noise caused by high frequencies emitted from home appliances equipped with microcomputers, we have strengthened the internal filter that blocks high frequencies.

Phono inputs are compatible with both MM and MC.
It is also equipped with various terminals such as RCA input and XLR input.

The pre-part and main part are designed separately so that each function can be used independently.

The front panel has been given a special pear-shaped processing to give warmth to the metallic precision. In addition, a thick aluminum plate is used for the indicator part.

Wireless remote control is included.
The use of a motor-driven input selector and volume improves operability without affecting sound quality.
With this remote control, you can turn the power switch ON/OFF, input select, volume control, muting, and power meter lighting ON/OFF.

Equipped with line phase sensor, polarity management of AC power supply is possible.
