Commentary
A floor-type speaker system developed as a successor to the Model105seriesII.
In the low range, 2 B200 which is 20 cm cone type woofer are mounted.
The well-known Bextron diaphragm is used for the diaphragm.
The mid-range is equipped with 11 cm cone type mid-range B110.
The T-33, a 3.3 cm soft dome tweeter, is installed in the high range.
It is equipped with a protection circuit S-STOP to prevent inadvertent use and troubles on the amplifier side.
The enclosure is hermetically sealed.
The unit layout adopts a linear phase configuration to achieve excellent orientation. In addition, a technology called Listening Window is installed to obtain the optimum stereo presence at the listener position. The directivity of the mid-range unit is further improved and the mid-range head assembly is finely adjusted horizontally and vertically so that the optimum listening area can be set wider.
The exterior is finished with a walnut finish.
The Model105.4 uses a computer-analyzed unit in the KEF Lab. In addition, it is shipped on a computer-controlled production line with left-right pair matching by a stereo system.
In addition, this system can be used as a reference system for studio use, and it is guaranteed with measured data of each unit.
