Commentary

Super Tweeter system with compression driver system born from ProjectK2 S9800.

1 inch (2.5 cm) diameter forged pure beryllium is used for the diaphragm, and 5.2 mm diameter neodymium ring magnet is used for the magnet.
Even though it has the smallest aperture among JBL Compression Drivers, it plays in the piston motion range up to a high frequency range exceeding 50 kHz.

A biradial horn with 60 ° horizontal x 30 ° vertical directivity is integrated into an aluminum die-cast housing.
In addition, it is equipped with a tilt mechanism that can finely adjust the directional axis to -2 ° in the vertical direction.

Comes with a high-pass network for 3-step crossover / attenuation switching.
Low-loss air-core coils and high-quality capacitors are used for the network elements, and JBL's unique charge-coupled linear definition method eliminates nonlinear distortion of capacitors by applying DC-bias.

A large binding post-type terminal is adopted for main body input and network input / output.

Hex driver for tilt adjustment and crossover / attenuation switching is included in addition to stainless steel spike foot / spike receiver.
