Commentary

S400 speaker system with wood gloss finish.

The exterior is finished with carefully selected cherry natural wood and has been given a high gloss coating. The time-consuming and labor-intensive finish realizes a high quality and luxurious feel.

A 20 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
Pure pulp cone is used for the diaphragm, and JBL's unique square-shaped (irregular quadrilateral) high-rigidity aluminum die-cast frame is used for the frame.

A horn type tweeter is installed in the high range.
A 2.5 cm diameter pure titanium diaphragm is used for the diaphragm, and by combining it with a horn made of high-rigidity aluminum die-cast, high-density mid-range and stretch high-range playback is realized.
JBL's proprietary directional control technology prevents unwanted reflections from walls and ceilings.

Uses a magnetic shielding structure.

A bass-reflex system is adopted for the enclosure and MDF is used for the plate material.

As a separately sold option, there was a speaker stand with the same wood gloss finish as the speaker.

It can be mounted on walls or ceilings by using the optional universal bracket MTC-U1.
When the MTC-U1 is mounted on the ceiling surface, the speaker is upside down. When the MTC-U1 is mounted in the normal direction, the 4 "shaft MTC-S4 (sold separately) must be used in conjunction with it.
