Commentary

S2400 speaker system with wood gloss finish.

The exterior is finished with carefully selected cherry natural wood and has been given a high gloss coating. The time-consuming and labor-intensive finish realizes a high quality and luxurious feel.

Two 20 cm cone type woofers are installed in the lower range.
Pure pulp cone is used for the diaphragm, and JBL's unique square-shaped (irregular quadrilateral) high-rigidity aluminum die-cast frame is used for the frame.

A horn type tweeter is installed in the high range.
A 2.5 cm diameter pure titanium diaphragm is used for the diaphragm, and by combining it with a horn made of high-rigidity aluminum die-cast, high-density mid-range and stretch high-range playback is realized.
JBL's proprietary directional control technology prevents unwanted reflections from walls and ceilings.

Uses a magnetic shielding structure.

The unit layout uses a symmetrical vertical array layout with a high-frequency horn sandwiched between two woofers. This layout concentrates the audio information of all bands to the center of the horn, providing accurate sound localization and preventing disturbance of frequency characteristics due to phase interference of the woofer.
A bass-reflex system is adopted for the enclosure and MDF is used for the plate material.
