Commentary

New A Series bookshelf type speaker system for pure and rich new generation JBL sound.

A newly designed 16.5 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The diaphragm is made of pure pulp cone that optimizes the balance between the stiffness and mass of the diaphragm for the New A series. In addition, the unit used for the A60 is designed with a voice coil for a single woofer.

A newly developed 3.8 cm ring type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm of this unit uses a ring-type diaphragm with tangential ribs. The tangential ribs on the diaphragm transmit the driving force from the voice coil evenly to the entire diaphragm to obtain accurate piston motion of the diaphragm. This reduces the high-frequency distortion component and realizes clean high-frequency reproduction with less distortion.
The diaphragm is made of a special polymer material and has a dual layer structure laminated with damping film to suppress the high-frequency resonance of the diaphragm itself and realize flatter and smoother high-frequency characteristics.
The voice coil uses an ultra-lightweight copper-coated aluminum voice coil that is approximately 50% lighter than conventional copper voice coils, and the bobbin uses Kapton bobbin with excellent heat resistance.
In addition, the unit front is equipped with an aluminum die-cast outer horn which is firmly fixed to the front baffle. By firmly attaching this horn to the front baffle, unnecessary vibration of the tweeter is eliminated and sufficient regenerative energy is secured up to the crossover region.

The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
It is designed by cutting the line from the rear side of the cabinet top to the front and then to the side of the front baffle. In addition, it is finished with a cherry natural wood veneer finish.

General-purpose speaker stand JS-15 can be used.
You can also use the MTC-U1 universal wall / ceiling bracket. When the A60 is mounted on the ceiling with the MTC-U1, the speakers are mounted upside down. When the speakers are mounted in the normal orientation, they are mounted with the MTC-S4 extension shaft.
