Commentary
A speaker system for mid - and high-range reproduction of the concert series.
The 4862 is part of the 4860 speaker family.
There were four variations of the 4860 speaker family, 4860, 4861, 4862 and 4863, each with a different unit configuration.
It is equipped with biradial horn 2385A with horizontal directional characteristics of 60 ° and 2445J with titanium diaphragm of 4-inch diameter.
The enclosure uses high density birch laminated plywood with no gaps. The surface treatment of glass fiber reinforced plastic ensures excellent durability. The top, bottom, and side surfaces are cut into 15 ° tapered shapes, and both 4847 low frequency speakers and fan-shaped arrays can be configured, making it useful for multi-way hanging.
Equipped with 8 embedded metal fittings for flying.
The Concert Series included a wide range of specialized options, including a carrying load case and various speaker mounting brackets.
