Commentary
A speaker system for mid - and high-range reproduction of the concert series.
The 4861 is part of the 4860 speaker family and consists of a 4860 system plus a tweeter.
There were four variations of the 4860 speaker family, 4860, 4861, 4862 and 4863, each with a different unit configuration.
The mid-range is equipped with a biradial horn 2380A with 90 ° horizontal directional characteristics and a 2445J with 4-inch diameter titanium diaphragm.
In addition, two horn type tweeters 2404H are installed in the high frequency range.
The enclosure uses high density birch laminated plywood with no gaps. The surface treatment of glass fiber reinforced plastic ensures excellent durability. The top, bottom, and side surfaces are cut into 15 ° tapered shapes, and both 4847 low frequency speakers and fan-shaped arrays can be configured, making it useful for multi-way hanging.
Equipped with 8 embedded metal fittings for flying.
The Concert Series included a wide range of specialized options, including a carrying load case and various speaker mounting brackets.
