Commentary
The new 44 series speaker system developed as a next-generation monitor series.
A 30 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
In this unit, the diaphragm is coated with Aqua Plus, JBL's unique coating reinforcement material, on the pulp base to achieve higher rigidity and greater internal loss. In addition, the SFG magnetic circuit is used for the magnetic circuit to achieve smooth energy response and improved input resistance.
The mid-range is equipped with a 12.5 cm cone type mid-range.
A dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
Pure titanium is used for the diaphragm of this unit, and it is mounted by molding into a dome of 25 micron thickness by a unique technology. By combining diamond edge patterns inspired by Japanese origami work and reinforcing ribs, excellent characteristics up to 27 kHz can be obtained without sacrificing efficiency.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
