Commentary
The new 44 series small speaker system was developed as the next generation monitor series.
A 17 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A special polypropylene cone is used for the diaphragm, and a high polymer composite material is laminated on the pulp base to reduce distortion. In addition, a SFG magnetic circuit is used for the magnetic circuit to realize smooth energy response and improved input resistance.
A dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
Pure titanium is used for the diaphragm of this unit, and it is mounted by molding into a dome of 25 micron thickness by a unique technology. By combining diamond edge patterns inspired by Japanese origami work and reinforcing ribs, excellent characteristics up to 27 kHz can be obtained without sacrificing efficiency.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
