Commentary
A 4-way 5-speaker system developed for large recording studios that require high sound pressure levels.
It is based on the 4350 developed in 1972, and the completion has been raised by adding technical improvements without changing the basic design.
Two 38 cm cone type woofer 2231H are mounted in the low range, and high input resistance and high output characteristics are ensured by connecting in parallel.
In addition, multi-amplifier drive with crossover frequency of 250 hz is possible by using exclusive divider 5234 (filter substrate sold separately) sold separately.
It is equipped with 2202H which is a 30 cm cone type mid-woofer in the middle and low range.
This unit is mounted in a subchamber to eliminate mutual interference with the woofer.
The mid-range range is equipped with a horn type mid-range that combines a driver 2440, a horn 2311 and a horn lens 2308. The high-range range is equipped with a horn type tweeter 2405.
The mid-range and high-range units can be interchanged at the left and right positions of the front baffle to create a symmetrical mirror image pair.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
Considering a wide range of studio use, it can be suspended using a eye bolt and reinforcement angle.
The exterior comes in two color variations, a walnut finish and a gray finish characterized by a blue baffle.
