A studio monitor speaker system combined with a newly developed large horn.

In the low range, it is equipped with 1500 fe which is 38 cm cone type woofer.
This unit is based on the Woofer 1500 al developed for Project K2S 9800 and was developed in pursuit of the linearity and amplitude characteristics required for studio monitors.
For the diaphragm, premium pure pulp cone by natural drying is adopted, and 100 mm diameter high-density long voice coil which demonstrates high power handling and EPDM foam rubber roll edge which is lightweight and low-loss are used. In addition, JBL's unique streamlined gap cooling mechanism which directly air-cools the voice coil prevents thermal sagging at continuous high power and maintains excellent dynamic range.

The mid-range is equipped with a horn type mid-range using a driver unit of 435 al.
The 435 al is a compression driver using a 7.5 cm aluminum diaphragm. By adopting a lightweight aluminum ribbon voice coil and a high-efficiency neodymium magnet magnetic circuit, the band balance sufficiently extended to high frequencies and natural reproduction capability are obtained.
The horn section is equipped with a SonoGlass constant coverage biradial horn, which has the largest opening area in the Studio Monitor Series and is made from Shinkai. The horn is a large horn that fills the width of the front baffle surface. It inherits the tradition of Studio Monitor and has advanced high-density reproduction capability.

A horn-type tweeter using a driver unit of 045 ti is installed in the high range.
The 045 ti is a 2.5 cm compression screwdriver with an edge-integrated pure titanium diaphragm for the diaphragm, a lightweight aluminum ribbon voice coil and a neodymium magnet magnetic circuit for ultra-high frequency reproduction exceeding 40 kHz.
By incorporating this driver unit into a high-rigidity SonoGlass horn and bezel, the band is expanded and stable ultra-high-frequency playback is achieved.

The network section is a 2-way + Super Tweeter 3-way network designed to bring out the taste of a large horn driver and a woofer.
For parts, high-quality polypropylene film capacitors are used for all capacitors in the HF circuit, and low-loss air-core coils made of extra-thick copper wires are used for the LF circuit. We have carefully selected the parts with an emphasis on sound quality.
We also pay attention to the placement of parts and network circuitry to minimize electrical and magnetic interference.

Equipped with a continuously variable attenuator volume that enables independent level adjustment of HF/UHF drivers.

The enclosure uses a bass-reflex method, the plate is made of 25 mm thick highly rigid MDF material, and the woofer baffle is equipped with a 19 mm thick MDF board to firmly hold the heavyweight unit.
The unit layout uses an in-line layout in which the center of the three units is aligned with the center of the baffle surface and is arranged on a vertical line.
The exterior has a Walnut natural wood finish that is a tradition of the Studio Monitor series.

Bi-wiring connection and passive bi-amplifier drive are supported.
