Commentary
This large-scale floor-type speaker system was developed as a flagship model representing the philosophy and technology of JBL speakers by introducing the technology of Ti series.
The form is determined by thorough calculation including the compatibility of wide-band flat frequency characteristics and power response, phase matching of each unit, diffraction effect of the enclosure, and position of the rear duct.
LE14H-1, a 38 cmSFG woofer with Aqua Plus compound cone, is used for the low range.
A 20 cm cone type 118H developed for 250 ti is used for the middle and low band.
13 cm special polypropylene cone unit 104H is mounted in the middle and high area.
Based on polypropylene, special fillers greatly enhance the synthesis while maintaining the same internal loss as polypropylene.
A 044 ti tweeter using a pure titanium diaphragm is mounted in the high frequency range.
The dome of 25 micron thickness has been realized by the unique technology of blowing the excess flow of high-pressure nitrogen gas. Excellent response has been obtained by combining the diamond edge pattern inspired by Japanese origami work and the reinforcing rib.
The attenuator uses a strapping bus bar method that reduces sound quality degradation.
The enclosure uses a round baffle to account for diffraction effects, high-density particle board is used, and natural cheek finish is used for the surface finish.
In addition, in order to prevent disturbance of response due to reflection at the grill frame, we have adopted a flooring grill using a unique floating structure.
