Commentary
This is a full-scale monitor size 2-way speaker system that achieves high quality and wide range within the limitation of small size.
A 16.5 cm diameter IMG (Injection molded graphite) woofer that uses glassite reinforced polypropylene is used for the low range, and it realizes a realistic low sound with less distortion.
The EMITk Tweeter is used for the high range.
The EMI-type (Electro Magnetic Induction) speaker uses a lightweight diaphragm directly driven by a strong magnetic field, which in principle makes it possible to achieve excellent transient response and low distortion. The EMITk Tweeter used in the RS-5KAPPA uses a Lomas Kapton membrane diaphragm and rare-earth neodymium magnet to achieve high sound without distortion while achieving wide range reproduction.
Each part of the network is selected through repeated computer design and listening experiments. In the lower range, Infiniti's original L/C tuning circuit is installed to extend the lower range playback limit.
The enclosure is a closed, shapely round baffle with a natural oak finish from carefully selected materials and matte-coated coated baffle that concentrates Infiniti's technology into details.
