Commentary
This speaker system improves the time it takes to reach the listener by improving the line arrangement of the speaker unit.
In Reference I, the V-line arrangement is adopted for the unit layout. The woofer unit of the long travel voice coil is placed in the center, and the short travel voice coil is placed outside the center.
As a result, the difference in time between the sound coming from each unit and reaching the listener's ear is minimized, and the phase characteristic is improved by shortening the time difference between units.
The unit is a 4-speaker configuration with a 27.4 cm polypropylene cone woofer for the low range, a 13.7 cm polypropylene cone squaker for the middle range, and a double ribbon tweeter for the high range.
The enclosure has a walnut oil finish.
