Commentary
This is Havez's first speaker system developed by Dudley Harwood, who was chief engineer at BBC Research for 30 years, taking advantage of the know-how gained through designing famous monitor speakers.
Based on a study conducted by the BBC, it was concluded that two way is sufficient to cover the audio band, so a two way configuration was adopted.
A 20 cm cone type woofer is used for the low range.
The diaphragm is made of polypropylene cone, which has superior characteristics compared to paper cone and polystyrene cone.
A soft dome type tweeter of Sonoh DACS HD-12 and D25-8 type is adopted for the high range.
The network circuit is thoroughly examined from the parts to the circuit structure, and uses auto TRANSFORMERS with laminated core and solid deelectret condenser.
High-quality birch plywood is used as the enclosure material, and in order to minimize resonance, two types of sound absorbing materials with different sound absorption coefficients are used to create an enclosure with a natural sound.
The optimum listening position is set, and it is recommended to use it 1m away from the wall and at least 25 cm away from the floor in a general room.
The speaker stand is sold separately and is made of natural solid teak.
