Electro-Voice SENTRY III
¥ 465,000 (1 unit, around late 1970 s)
Commentary
This is a floor-type speaker system that uses the same mid-range tweeter as the SENTRY IVB and has a new woofer section.
A newly designed 38 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A radial horn type mid-range with a radiation angle of 120 degrees or more is adopted for the mid-range, and 1823M is installed as a driver unit.
The ST350A, a radial horn type tweeter with a radiation angle of 120 degrees or more, is mounted in the high range.
The tweeter also has a self-resetting, purely electronic protection circuit.
The enclosure is finely tuned to the newly designed woofer, enabling playback to 10 Hz lower frequencies while reducing the size by 30% compared to the SENTRY IVB.
