Electro-Voice Interface:3II

Commentary
A speaker system that is an improved version of Interface : 3.
A 20 cm cone type woofer and a 30 cm cone type radiator are installed in the middle and low range.
This radiator does not have a magnetic circuit or voice coil and works like a so-called passive radiator. However, Interface : 3 makes more active use of this radiator. The radiator receives a low frequency range of less than 57 Hz. This realizes a low sound reproduction of 34 Hz, while the 20 cm woofer realizes low distortion and high input resistance up to the middle range.
The high-frequency band is equipped with a 3.8 cm dome type super dome tweeter, which is the same as the high-end model.
This unit uses a large magnet and a high-efficiency magnetic circuit in which a magnetic fluid is sealed in the voice coil gap, realizing efficiency two to four times higher than that of the conventional dome type. The diaphragm is made of two layers of phenol resin.
In addition, an acoustic lens of acoustic form is mounted on the front of the dome, which greatly improves the directivity characteristic in the ultra-high range.
The 20 cm cone woofer and 6 cm tweeter are identical to the Interface : AII and Interface : BII.
The enclosure is hermetically sealed.
