Electro-Voice Interface:2II

Commentary
A speaker system that is an improved version of Interface : 2.
A 20 cm cone type woofer and a 25 cm cone type radiator are installed in the middle and low range.
This radiator is not equipped with a magnetic circuit or voice coil and works like a so-called passive radiator. However, Interface : 2 makes more active use of this radiator. The radiator is responsible for almost all of the lowest frequencies below 66 Hz. This realizes 39 Hz bass reproduction, while the 20 cm woofer achieves low distortion and high input resistance up to the mid-range.
The high-frequency band is equipped with a 3.8 cm dome type super dome tweeter, which is the same as the high-end model.
This unit uses a large magnet and a high-efficiency magnetic circuit in which a magnetic fluid is sealed in the voice coil gap, realizing efficiency two to four times higher than that of the conventional dome type. The diaphragm is made of two layers of phenol resin.
In addition, an acoustic lens of acoustic form is mounted on the front of the dome, which greatly improves the directivity characteristic in the ultra-high range.
The enclosure is hermetically sealed.
