Commentary
An FM/AM tuner with improved characteristics in preparation for multi-station FM.
A two stage RF fully shielded front end combining a low-noise FET and -noise FET and a four link varicon.
A silicon transistor, two monolithic ICs and two ceramic filters are used for the IF amplifier.
By using a ceramic filter, both selectivity characteristics and bandwidth are combined, and distortion factor and interference rejection capability are improved. By using two ICs, various characteristics at the IF stage such as limiter characteristics and capture ratio are improved.
The MPX circuit employs a DSC circuit developed by DENON that cancels the right and left crosstalk.
The LC resonance filter also shuts out harmful leakage at 38 kHz and 19 kHz.
It is equipped with a high blend switch. When you hear a noise in a weak electric field during FM stereo reception, by turning the switch ON, you can blend only the high frequency range without losing the stereo sense and cancel the noise.
Equipped with an electronic FM mono-stereo automatic switching circuit.
If you set the selector to FM-AUTO, all the circuits will automatically switch to stereo reception when the broadcast becomes stereo.
The AM tuner section has a high sensitivity design, and good reception is possible only with the built-in bar antenna.
An external antenna terminal is also provided.
Equipped with a muting circuit.
Each FM and AM is equipped with a dedicated output level adjuster.
Uses a 2-meter system consisting of a signal meter and a tuning meter.
Equipped with antenna terminals of 300 Ω and 75 Ω.
