VS-370
Commentary

A speaker system with designs such as collagen cones and symmetrical layouts.

In VS-370, DENON's original collagen cone is used for the vibration plate of the unit.
In this diaphragm, collagen fibers are extracted from animal skin by a special chemical treatment and fused with the material of corn paper. This allows the corn paper to maintain rigidity while controlling only internal loss to an appropriate value, and more ideally controls the split resonance region and high-frequency resonance.
In addition, by using collagen fibers at the edge part as well, the disturbance of the characteristics at the point where the piston motion is removed is minimized. In addition, the flexibility of the collagen fibers allows the lowest resonance frequency to be lowered, and the split vibration of the cone paper is also controlled, further ensuring the flattening of the frequency band.

The all-cone configuration prevents differences in tone quality depending on the receiving band, which tends to occur in a multi-way system. In addition, the directivity and vibration mode are matched to minimize differences in tone quality depending on the reverberation time of the listening room or the position of speakers.

The low range is equipped with 30RW11B which is 30 cm cone type woofer.
This unit uses a non-prescone paper with collagen fibers fused to the diaphragm and a melamine coated double structure that increases rigidity and expands the piston motor cortex range, controlling sharp peaks that tend to appear in the high range of woofer.
The voice coil has a special structure that uses an aluminum bobbin to prevent radial deflection and at the same time improve the heat radiation effect.
The magnetic circuit uses an Alnico cast magnet with good magnetic energy usage efficiency.

The mid-range is equipped with 12RM22 which is a 12 cm cone type skoker.
Collagen cone paper is used for the diaphragm, and at the same time as controlling the split resonance region, the rubber cap is used to reduce the high frequency radiation energy from the cap and cut unnecessary bands.
In addition, by adopting a large cast magnet for the magnetic circuit, a magnetic flux density of 12000 gauss has been obtained and transient characteristics have been improved.
An aluminum die-cast frame is used for the frame, and a back cover is used to cut off the influence of a woofer with large vibration, thereby suppressing inter-modulation distortion.

50RT07, which is a 5 cm cone type tweeter, is installed in the high range.
This unit is designed to reduce the influence of woofer and squaker by using aluminum die-cast for the frame.

For the network part, we have adopted a coil with less DC resistance and used multiple capacitors in parallel to minimize the capacitance error of the capacitor, taking into consideration the effect on the chassis.
It is also equipped with a continuously variable level control for the middle and high frequencies.

The unit layout of the front baffle is symmetrical with respect to the directional pattern of the left and right speakers at the listening position. The unit is mounted so that the vibration mode of the baffle does not adversely affect music playback. In particular, the frame of the woofer is covered with synthetic rubber and is mounted on the back.
The enclosure is hermetically sealed. The front baffle is made of a 19 mm thick lumber core made mainly of Chinese wood, and the other parts are made of a 25 mm thick rigid particle board, giving it a solid finish.
A combination of three types of sound absorbing materials with different densities is used for internal sound absorption processing to eliminate standing waves.

The exterior is finished with real wood for a simple design.
