Commentary
This speaker system is compatible with the ultra-high-frequency playback of next-generation audio.
Two 16.5 cm cone type woofers are mounted in the low range and driven by P. P. D. D. (Push-Pull Dual Driver) Serial method.
In the P. P. D. D. Serial method, two speakers are push-pull driven back-to-back to expand the low-frequency playback level and reduce the harmonic distortion that causes the sound to become muddy. In addition, the lowest resonance frequency can be reduced compared to a single speaker in the same size cabinet volume, greatly improving the low-frequency playback capability.
The woofer diaphragm uses a Kevlar cone with excellent response and excellent sound quality.
A 2.5 cm soft dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
This unit uses a neodymium magnet for the magnetic circuit.
A leaf-type Super Tweeter is installed in the super high range.
A newly developed ultrathin sandwich polyimide film is used for the diaphragm, enabling playback at frequencies up to 200 kHz. This allows playback at frequencies higher than 20 kHz, which is a major feature of next-generation audio, and at frequencies higher than 20 kHz.
The front baffle uses a 3-D processed baffle to minimize the mounting surface of the unit and eliminate the diffraction effect caused by the end face of the baffle. The baffle material uses a hybrid structure consisting of five 9-mm-thick MDF layers to enhance rigidity and realize speedy sound reproduction.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system, and the plate uses a rubber core material for excellent acoustic characteristics.
The exterior has a natural wood veneer finish.
The rear terminal uses a large brass machined gold plated terminal for extremely thick cables and banana plugs, as well as bi-wiring.
It comes with installation tools such as cleats, which are attached to the bottom of the speaker to make the ground plane smaller, and cork slip-stopper.
There was a speaker stand as an option sold separately.
This stand is designed based on the concept of mechanical earth ground, and the supporting point of vibration is clarified, and purer reproduced sound and rich sound field can be obtained. The support pillar combines three support pillars into a sandwich structure, and a very thick support pillar is supported by a heavy base plate to obtain excellent stability and vibration suppression.
Lumber core material with excellent acoustic characteristics is used. In addition, tuning tools such as gold plated high carbon steel spike are included.
