Commentary

A subwoofer developed with DENON's high sound quality technology.

LF Direct circuit is installed.
In multichannel amplifiers such as AV amplifiers, bus management and level control circuits are set to divide the digital source into satellite speakers and sub-woofers. The LF Direct circuit can pass the crossover and level control circuits on the DSW 777 side. This reduces phase distortion and signal degradation on the sub-woofer side, enabling more faithful reproduction of the source.

Uses a direct irradiation system.
In this system, the woofer unit and bass reflex port are placed in front like ordinary speaker systems, and the sound is directly emitted to the listener. This system realizes low sound reproduction that is more faithful to the time axis than that obtained by using reflection and resonance, and has excellent transient and transient response characteristics.

Uses DENON's unique P. P. D. D. (Push-Pull Dual Driver) Parallel method.
To solve this problem, the P. P. D. D. Parallel method mounts the edge of one of the speakers in the opposite direction so that the harmonic distortion is cancelled out by each other and the low-frequency distortion is reduced.
In addition, since the two woofers are push-pull driven, the driving force and vibration equivalent mass are doubled, and the low-frequency reproduction range is expanded.

The unit is equipped with two 20 cm cone type woofers, and by connecting them in parallel, the effective diaphragm area is secured and the amplitude distortion of the speaker is suppressed.
This unit uses a double suspension damper and a special rubber edge with excellent damping effect to realize a unit resistant to large input.

The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
A 50 mm thick baffle is used for the front baffle to completely eliminate unwanted resonance.

The crossover frequency can be continuously variable from 50 Hz to 200 Hz.

Equipped with auto standby function, it automatically goes into standby state in a few minutes when there is no input signal and saves power consumption.
It returns when a signal is input and starts playback.

It comes with a cork foot and gold plated high carbon steel spike.
