DENON DP-1800
¥ 65,000 (released in 1976)
Commentary
Direct drive player made of natural marble.
The drive system uses a direct drive system, and the drive motor uses an AC servo motor with smooth rotation in principle.
DENON has developed a magnetic recording / reproducing system to detect the rotational speed. In this system, the inside of the turntable rim is coated with a magnetic material, and 1000 pulses are recorded with a high accuracy of less than 0.01% of the recording wavelength error. This enables accurate speed detection and increases the gain and stability of the control circuit because the detection frequency is high.
The top of the strobe uses a method in which the object inscribed inside the turntable is seen through the strobe window by the reflection of the mirror.
The speed can be adjusted within ± 3% by operating the speed control knob.
Newly developed butyl rubber sheet is used for the turntable sheet.
This sheet was newly developed by analyzing vibration using laser light, and the sound quality degradation is prevented by suppressing vibration of the record board due to sound pressure, etc.
A new dynamic damping mechanism has been adopted in the body of the tone arm to suppress the split resonance of the tone arm itself and to reduce the influence of vibration noise transmitted from the player cabinet.
Uses an anti-skating mechanism to prevent needle skipping and arm flow for more stable tracing.
The cabinet uses a structure that combines natural marble and particle board.
Acrylic is used for dust cover.
