MM type cartridge with shell integrated structure with high performance by adopting light mass vibration system.

In the DL-202, the cantilever is reduced in weight to the limit of the MM type. Moreover, the sharp tracing capability is ensured by adjusting the mass distribution. In addition, the mechanical impedance is reduced by using a micro stylus tip and a tapered double-pipe cantilever that simultaneously satisfies both weight reduction and rigidity. The frequency characteristics in the mid - and high-frequency range are flattened, and the ultra-high frequency characteristic of 60 kHz is achieved.

The generator uses a double-push-pull mechanism consisting of a samarium-cobalt disc-shaped magnet and a 4-coil 12-pole system using a polished E-shaped core, thereby extending the linearity range.

In order to bring out the characteristics of the vibration system and power generation mechanism to the maximum extent, the vibration system is supported by a single point support system that provides uniform freedom only in the vertical and horizontal directions. This clarifies the vibration support point, reduces distortion, and flattens the needle pressure vs. output characteristics.

It is a low impedance type (600 Ω, 1 kHz) in order to minimize the characteristic change due to the load of the amplifier input. Moreover, it is high output so that it can exhibit stable and excellent performance regardless of the amplifier.

In order to prevent performance degradation due to the shape and material of the shell and mounting errors, an integrated structure is adopted. This prevents resonance phenomenon due to the shell and external induction noise due to lead wires, and ensures stable operation at all times.
