DENON DL-108R/DL-108RU
DL-108R : ¥ 11,000 (around 1978)
DL-108RU : ¥ 12,500 (circa 1978)
Commentary
MM type stereo cartridge.
The DL-108 is available in the DL-108D which uses an elliptical needle and the DL-108R which uses a round needle.
There were also DL-108DU and DL-108RU with shell stand equipped with head shell PCL-3.
One point support system with extra-fine piano wire is adopted.
In addition, in order to reduce the mass of the cantilever, which occupies a large weight in the equivalent mass of the vibration system, high-rigidity and ultra-fine special alloy pipes are used for the vibration system.
A disc-shaped samarium-cobalt magnet with a large magnetic energy product is used in the power generation mechanism to realize a lightweight vibration system and high output.
