Commentary

This pre-main amplifier is composed of two amplifiers, a super equalizer amplifier and a power amplifier.

The basic configuration consists of two amplifier configuration consisting of only the MC/MM super equalizer amplifier and non-switching A power amplifier installed in the PMA-550/PMA-540. DENON technology has been introduced to enhance the completion.

It employs a direct DC servo system that eliminates the coupling and condenser that degrade sound quality.
All signal paths are designed without a capacitor, and there is no coupling capacitor from the MC input terminal to the SP output terminal that affects sound quality.

The equalizer amplifier section is equipped with a super equalizer consisting of an NF-type DC amplifier with low-noise dual-FET and a CR-type equalizing filter to realize ultra-wide bandwidth.
In addition, the gain and S/N are designed to focus on the MC cartridge in order to realize the advantages of the super equalizer.

The power amplifier section uses a non-switching A method equipped with a 0 cross linear bias circuit.
The 0 cross linear bias circuit is equipped with a high-speed thermal feedback circuit to further enhance the merits of the non-switching system. In addition to achieving quick stabilization of bias from power-on, high stability against external factors such as temperature change and time lapse is obtained.

The tone control section is equipped with a real-time tone control circuit that does not involve active elements or large capacitors in the signal path.
In this circuit, passive elements are incorporated into the feedback system of the power amplifier to enable wide range and smooth control.

All input / output terminals are directly connected to the printed circuit board, and input / output switching is operated by a non-magnetic aluminum shaft to minimize the routing of wires.

The REC-OUT OFF function is incorporated in consideration of the effect on sound quality.
It is also equipped with a subsonic filter and loudness control.
