Commentary
As a minor change model of SA-3, this tube type preamplifier has been improved by thorough review.
In SA-3.1, each part and material is reconsidered, and the artwork on the board is also reconsidered.
Reliability is enhanced especially by thorough grounding.
The SA-3.1 power unit provides approximately 50 joules of power.
By adopting a constant voltage circuit and supplying a stable voltage, the extra burden on the vacuum tube is reduced and life is extended successfully.
While keeping the desired functions of the preamp, we have achieved a simple configuration using only three vacuum tubes.
All three vacuum tubes in use are made of only those with good characteristics that have passed the energization test over 100 hours by the TBD-15 equipment. By constructing these tubes with a cathode follower circuit, stable characteristics and excellent sound quality are realized.
There are 2 color variations of black and silver.
The wood case was sold separately as an option.
