Cello Encore 1M Ω L

Commentary

This is a control amplifier that has been polished based on the Encore 1M Ω preamplifier and upgraded as a line input dedicated unit.

It inherits the design philosophy of Encore 1M Ω, and is equipped with an input buffer amplifier with input impedance 1,000,000 Ω = 1M Ω from the viewpoint that it is ideal to have infinite input impedance. This makes it possible to play the program without losing the taste of the program source which cannot be obtained with other amplifiers by having input impedance which can be said to be practically infinite.

In 1M Ω L, the line input regeneration is upgraded by the line input exclusive design, and the circuit is completely renewed.
In particular, balanced transmission balance amplification is emphasized, and all circuits are configured with two independent amplifiers for the plus side and the minus side of the signal to achieve full balance amplification.

The gain of the flat amplifier, which used to be 25 dB at the maximum, is reduced to 20 dB, and a larger input voltage ensures a larger dynamic range.
Accordingly, the L/R-independent dB gain, which can also be used as a channel balancer, has been changed to a 1 db step variable between + 10 db and + 20 db.

The volume section uses an ultra-precision attenuator that switches the fixed resistance in 1 dB steps (+ 10 ~ -40dB, -40 ~ -50dB in 2 dB steps).
The attenuator was previously limited to -50dB steps, but now has 5 dB steps of -50 to -60dB to improve usability.

Each circuit is a plug-in a module type, is a plug-in type card, which improves reliability and realizes low impedance by the thick power supply bar.

The switch on the board enables floating / direct connection / disconnection between the audio ground and chassis ground at 10 Ω, making it possible to play with excellent SN ratio in combination with any power amplifier.

There was a separately sold RMC phono equalizer for phono playback.
The rear panel of the Encore 1M Ω L has a dedicated power terminal, and you can also play the phono by adding an RMC.
