Commentary

A speaker system equipped with Celestion's unique ART ribbon tweeter.

A ribbon type tweeter using ART (Acoustic Ribbon Technology) is installed in the high range.
The ART is a ribbon tweeter developed by Dr. G. Bank, Research Director of Celestion, after three years of research and development. The ribbon unit is a Mid-range / Treble unit that operates from 900 Hz to 20 kHz with a sensitivity of 86 dB SPL using a special ribbon transformer. The aluminum ribbon has an effective radiation area of 10mmx530mm, the same size as a regular 5-inch speaker unit.
The ribbon suspension system uses the patented Celestion RS system. The ribbon terminal is plated with wire, the frame is cast with aluminum, and 60 magnets are used in the unit.

A 20 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit uses a Polyolefine cone for the diaphragm, high-tech molding for the surround, and a die-cast frame and gold-plated terminal.

The enclosure is completely enclosed with a walnut finish, incorporating ART ribbon units at 45 ° corners and a symmetrical pair of systems.
The ribbon and woofer sections are completely separated and each interior is reinforced by an 8-brace.
