Video part
In addition to the DVD-Video disc, video CD, and music CD that were playable in previous models, the new CD-R/RW format is also supported.
CD-R/RW can only play media recorded in digital audio format.
Equipped with an image adjustment function, you can select an image quality mode suitable for the image you are viewing from 5 image quality settings.
The Standard mode produces images with standard quality and contrast, while the Bright mode produces natural and bright images with reduced contrast.
Movie 1 is a dark movie mode that improves the reproduction of dark areas with bright images, Movie 2 is a bright movie mode that produces moist and glossy images, and Animation is an animation movie mode that produces vivid, dynamic, and tight images with vivid colors.

Audio part
Equipped with a sound field effect function, you can select the sound mode that matches the situation of the image you are viewing from among three sound settings.
The standard mode reproduces the original sound without any special effects, and the 3D (N-2-2) provides stereo sound with only two front speakers.
In Movie Voice Mode, you can play back software recorded on 5.1 ch by adjusting the volume so that you can hear the lines easily even at low volume.
The D/A converter uses an audio DAC that supports 192 kHz / 24-bit linear PCM.
A dynamic range of 108 dB or more and a total harmonic distortion rate of 0.002% or less at 24-bit input are achieved.
It also supports DTS, an optional audio format for DVD video. By connecting an amplifier with a built-in DTS decoder from the digital audio output and playing DTS-compliant discs, sound reproduction closer to the original is possible on a 5.1 ch system.
Equipped with the Specializer N-2-2 Digital Virtual Surround System, which reproduces stereo sound images with two speakers.
This function virtually creates a rear surround speaker with only two speakers at the front of a TV or mini-component, and creates a stereo sound image with speakers at the front, left, and right of the room. All processing is done within a single processor, eliminating the sound quality degradation associated with effects.
