Commentary

Stereo cassette deck equipped with AS head and air check function.

The newly developed AS head is used for the recording and reproducing head.
AS stands for All Sendust. The sliding surface on which the tape swings and the core are made of Sendust alloy. This head has a gap of 1.3 microns and excellent playback characteristics. It also has a narrow gap and excellent recording characteristics. It also has high abrasion resistance and a wide dynamic range. In addition, the S / N ratio has been improved by adopting the low-noise characteristics of the material itself and the coil winding method that takes advantage of it.
The hyperbolly-shaped head improves the head touch, improves the recording and playback capability in the high-frequency range, and greatly reduces the contour effect, which is a waviness in the low-frequency range.

Equipped with an editor switch for air check function.
This function allows you to turn off the recording signal when you think it is unnecessary without stopping the tape during recording. This function is combined with the pause switch to achieve an operation similar to Rec Mute.

Input terminals are also mounted on the front panel.

Equipped with wide-scale meter from -30dB to + 4 db.

Equipped with a limiter switch to prevent distortion caused by excessive input.

An easy-to-use recording volume format is used by linking the left and right.
The balance of the left and right channels can be adjusted with the balance volume.

Equipped with an input selector.

The Dolby System is installed as a noise reduction system.
