Commentary

This speaker system is a reproduction of the AR-3a.

This speaker was produced in response to the request from Japan, and AR Corporation of America produced only 200 pairs for Japan.
It is based on the data and drawings of AR-3a that was left in AR company in the design, several sets of the real thing, and the unit that was strictly preserved and managed, and emphasizes the taste of the past.
In addition to using the same materials, parts, and structures as the AR-3a at that time, we are introducing inspection using the latest measuring instruments. In addition to strict inspection by skilled engineers, we are using more scientific and accurate measurement methods to realize more complete models.

The enclosure uses an acoustic suspension system.
In this system, air is used as a spring for the amplitude motion of the cone paper, compliance can be made extremely large, and resonance frequency in the low range is greatly reduced.

A 30 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
Mechanical strain at large amplitude is absorbed by using polyurethane-based elastic material at the edge.
The mid-range features a 3.8 cm dome mid-range, and the high-range features a 2 cm dome tweeter.

The exterior is oak finished.

It comes with a Shippo plate that proves limited production.
This emblem has a number from 001/200 to 200/200 and you can confirm that it is one pair out of 200 pairs.
