Commentary
As a pure successor to the AR-3a, this speaker system was developed by introducing new materials while inheriting traditional technology.
A 30 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
High-compliance edge is used for the edge, felt-like paper cone is used for the diaphragm, and long stroke voice coil using aramid fiber suspension is used.
The mid-range features a 3.8 cm dome mid-range.
This unit uses AR's unique filter-like soft dome to realize smooth mid-range regeneration.
A 1.9 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The enclosure uses the AR traditional acoustic suspension system to achieve excellent low-range playback.
In addition, 1 mm thick MDF and composite material are used for the plate material. In addition, the inside is densely packed with polyester fiber to control the woofer resonance and absorb the internal standing wave.
The exterior has a rosewood finish.
