Description

The speaker system which improved the squawker and tweeter of AR-3 announced in 1959.

A 2cm dome shape unit is adopted as a 3.5cm dome shape and a high region in the inside region.
By using the material developed newly, it is crossing low by making an aperture small, and this has improved the reproducing characteristics and directional characteristics of inside compass and a high region.

A 30cm high compliance corn type Woofer is adopted as low-pass.

The acoustic suspension system is adopted as the enclosure.
This system was a system by Mr. Edgar Villchur's invention, and it was developed in order to remove the fault of the speaker till then with which harmonic distortion increases especially in low-pitched sound. By this system, the box without corn paper with high intensity, an air leak, and resonance by which full sealing was carried out is used, the parasitism vibration at the time of a low-pitched sound play is braked, and distortion is suppressed.

Finishing of the exterior serves as oil finish of the walnut.
