Commentary
This is a floor-type speaker system that systemizes the famous pancake of the ALTEC unit.
20 cm cone type full range unit famous model 755E, commonly called Pancake is used for the middle and low range.
The vibration plate of this unit is an integrally molded cone, and the unique structure that does not have a joint between the cone and the center dome suppresses the generation of strain caused by poor connection.
A 5 cm cone type tweeter 427-8A is mounted in the high range.
The mold-molded cone supported by the die-cast frame combines with a strong magnetic field to obtain high acoustic output and wide directivity.
Equipped with a 3-step constant resistance attenuator.
In addition, it is equipped with a protective fuse to protect the speaker and voice coil from burning in case of excessive input.
The unit layout uses traditional Altech phase processing and is mounted so that the voice coils of the 755E and 427-8A are aligned.
