Commentary
Limiter amplifier.
The 1612A is a line and limiter amplifier with two input circuits. As a limiter amplifier, logarithmic compression up to 25 dB is possible.
As a line amplifier, there is a 90 dB gain microphone pre-amplifier by plug-in assembly.
It can also be changed to a 40 dB gain 600 Ω line amplifier.
