Description

The tape deck which adopted the crossing field head.

A crossing field head is the first head for an Akai to succeed in utilization. Signal current is added to a recording head, bias current is made to be added to the outside head only for bias, and these heads are in the fixed space position shifted relatively. Therefore, even if it adds bias, the signal recorded on a tape does not receive the bad influence of a bias magnetic field, but is enabling faithful recording.

The hysteresis synchronous 2 speed motor is adopted as a motor.
Moreover, the amplifier part has adopted the all silicon transistor solid-state preamplifier.

In consideration of solidity, 2 lever systems are adopted as the certainty of operation.

The change of a stereo and a monophonic recording is possible by a truck selector knob.

The power-supply-voltage selection equipment of a universal system is carried, and voltage can be freely changed between AC100V - 240V with 50Hz/60Hz two ways.

An automatic shut-off and stop lever, a tape cleaner, each equalizer for tape speeds, a DIN jack, a stereo headset jack, a triple figure tape counter with a reset button, and VU meter are carried.

It corresponds also to 38 cm/s by adapter use.
