A prestige DAT deck developed by the A & D brand based on long years of tape audio know-how.

The recording system is equipped with a 2 x oversampling digital filter to avoid the use of a high-order analog filter with steep attenuation characteristics. The low-order filter, which is superior in sound quality, greatly improves phase characteristics, while improving distortion and S/N ratio.
In addition, the A/D converter is equipped with an LR-independent type, which, together with the low-pass filter-off function that enables recording with a higher freshness of the source, enables faithful recording.

The reproduction system is equipped with a 4-times oversampling digital filter, making it possible to lower the analog filter and realizing excellent phase linearity and frequency characteristics.
In addition, the D/A converter is equipped with an LR independent type glitch less high-speed D/A converter.

The rotary (rotary) head uses a sputtering Sendust head developed by A & D that realizes high sound quality and high durability.

The transport mechanism is equipped with five motors for capstan, drum, reel, mechanical drive, and tape mounting.
In particular, the newly developed high-torque DD capstan motor has been adopted for the capstan motor to maintain excellent rotational characteristics over a long period of time.

The tape loading uses a linear skating system that realizes comfortable operation, and in addition, the double-cushion 4-point cassette half support guarantees reliable tape mounting.

In order to completely eliminate the interference between analog and digital, which causes degradation of sound quality, a complete separate construction is adopted.
In addition to completely separating the analog and digital circuit boards, the analog section is completely sealed and shielded to completely prevent the pulse signal of the digital circuit from flowing into the analog circuit.

Analog / digital independent winding transformer 6 power supply configuration is adopted in order to prevent noise from entering from the digital section to the analog section through the power supply section.
This power supply consists of analog, digital and mechanical systems, and performs noise rejection from the root.
In addition, an AC line noise filter is used to block the noise from the power line.

In addition to the mutual interference between the analog and digital sections, we focus on the mutual interference between the recording and playback systems. The four part construction separates the analog / digital (including recording / playback) and L/R channels to eliminate interference completely.

High-rigidity construction is adopted to suppress sound quality degradation due to vibration and resonance.
In addition to the high-rigidity super monocoque structure chassis, the 3-layer structure side part including the double-bottom end bottom plate and high-grade side wood is used to pursue high rigidity.
In addition, a large pedestal supporting a highly rigid chassis is adopted for the foot to block vibration from the outside.

Start ID can be recorded as auto, which is numbered according to the music sequence, and manually written, which can be numbered after recording.
The Start ID also provides many functions such as direct music selection, random program play, IPSS (Automatic Heading System), repeat play, and end search.

Equipped with a large FL (fluorescent display tube) display.

OFC oxygen-free copper wire is used for transformer winding / lead wire and power cord.

The input / output terminal uses a gold-plated terminal that does not change over time.

Equipped with ASSS (Auto Speed Search System) which searches at up to 200 times speed.

Auto-rewind ON/OFF switch for optimal tape storage

Equipped with a tape loading off key to protect the tape and an input select switch for 3-position support.

A remote control is included.
