Commentary
This is a 350 mm wide compact size and a refined model CD player that uses It's Logic, a unique red programming mechanism.
In order to prevent noise generated in the digital system from interfering with the analog system and adversely affecting sound quality, we have adopted a separate power supply that separates the analog circuit from the D/A converter and the digital and servo systems.
Analog circuits include audio components such as high-grade parts and oxygen-free copper wires developed in-house by Akai.
The pickup section employs a 3-beam type laser pickup that emits three spot beams to the signal track of the disk. Two side spots accurately detect off-track, and the error signal obtained here is corrected by the tracking servo system and fed back to the center spot for reading. This tracking servo system achieves a trace accuracy of 0.1 micron.
In addition, a floating mechanism has been adopted in the peripheral part of the disk to prevent external vibration which prevents stable tracing.
It's Logic's Logic, a programming mechanism unique to AKAI that allows you to enjoy memory programming and random music selection using the numeric keypad and function keys such as And, Without and Repeat.
It is possible to program up to 16 steps by considering one operation of the program button as one step. In addition, the operation status is displayed on the display as needed.
