Commentary

A cassette deck that supports metal tapes.

It is equipped with a FRTS mechanism that enables recording taking advantage of tape performance.
In the FRTS mechanism, test signals of 400 Hz and 8 kHz are recorded and reproduced simultaneously, and the bias amount is finely adjusted to obtain a flat frequency characteristic for each tape.

The head part uses a CVC3 head that further improves the 3-head configuration.
In addition, ultra-hard ferrite is used for the head.

The recording amplifier has a linearity of approximately 20 dB (0 VU) in order to be able to handle metal tapes with sufficient margin.

The meter is equipped with a double-needle meter that can display VU / peak.

It uses logical controls that can be queued and reviewed.

Equipped with auto-repeat and memory repeat functions.

A dual motor drive system is used for the mechanism.
