AD-5600
Commentary

This stereo cassette deck was developed by inheriting the technology and know-how acquired in AD 5700.

The Solid & Stabilized Transport (SST) system uses six new points (pinch roller, idler, flywheel, capstan, belt, electric circuit) to stabilize the mechanism and electric circuit in order to realize stable tape travel.
The pinch roller holder shaft is firmly fixed to the main chassis, and the parallelism between the pinch roller and capstan is kept extremely accurate, ensuring stable tape travel at all times. In addition, the new mechanism allows only the minimum number of idlers to be rotated during recording and playback, so there is no factor that unnecessarily increases wow and flutter.
A large flywheel with a weight of 270g and a diameter of 86 mm is used for the flywheel, and the rotational energy is 2450g ・ cm. In addition, the capstan uses 2.5 mm φ made by German company Shemaag, the world's highest class capstan manufacturer.
The belt uses a high-precision finish flat belt with less transmission loss for increased stability.
The electric circuit, including the bias oscillation circuit and the amplifier circuit, supplies power from a stabilizing power supply that can keep the voltage constant at all times to improve the electrical stability.

The Dolby System is installed as a noise reduction system.
Since the Dolby switch and the MPX filter switch are linked, you can improve the frequency response by setting the MPX filter to off except for Dolby recording on the FM stereo broadcast transmission.

The tape selector has three independent bias and equalizer settings.
The playback equalizer for both Chrome and Ferrichrome tape positions uses the new DIN 70 μ sec. The recording equalizer changes according to the characteristics of each tape, improving the SN ratio in the high-frequency range by 4.5 dB.

The head uses a ferrite guard head that uses ultra-hard ferrite with excellent wear resistance for the core and guard parts.

It uses a microphone / line independent input mechanism. By separating the microphone volume and line volume, the SN ratio is improved by 10 db compared to the conventional system. In addition, stereo mixing of the line and microphone is possible.

A memory counter and a quick review queue are used for the cue mechanism.

Equipped with an oil dump type cassette up mechanism.

Uses a full auto-stop mechanism.

Equipped with a level meter that can display up to + 6 dB.

Equipped with tape and tape counter illumination lamp.

LED is used for the tape running lamp.

Equipped with display lamps of Record, Dolby NR, Memory and Pause.

Comes with a detachable free-top dust cover.
