Commentary

This stereo cassette deck achieves sound quality with little distortion by stabilizing the mechanism and electric circuit.

The head is equipped with an FG (ferrite guard) head using ultra-hard ferrite with excellent wear resistance not only in the core part but also in the guard part.

It uses a large flywheel with a weight of 270g and a diameter of 86 mm, and achieves rotational energy of 2450 gcm.
In addition, a 2.5 mm φ capstan made by Schmerg in Germany is adopted.

The pinch roller holder shaft is firmly fixed to the main chassis, the parallelism between the pinch roller and capstan is accurately maintained, and stable tape travel is obtained.
We have also developed and adopted a reel shaft with a special structure to reduce friction in the cassette half and to stabilize tape running by applying a constant back tension to the reel shaft.

Electrical stability is improved by adopting a stabilized power supply for all circuits.

Equipped with a three stage bias / equalizer switching mechanism that can switch between the bias and equalizer according to the characteristics of each tape.

By separating the microphone volume from the line volume, the SN ratio during recording from the line is improved by 10 dB.

In order to reduce the hissing of cassette tapes, a Dolby system is installed.

Equipped with a large VU meter that can display up to + 6 dB.
