Commentary
FM/AM tuner equipped with Yamaha original CSL system, etc.
It uses a computer-controlled CSL (Computer Servo Locked) system that takes advantage of the accuracy of the PLL system when selecting a channel and releases the PLL and locks it at the optimum tuning point when receiving a tune.
As a result, even though the display frequency is in 0.1 MHz unit, the actual channel selection is in 0.01 MHz unit with high precision. Moreover, at the time of tuning, the PLL is released while the display is fixed, and it is locked at the optimum tuning point by analog operation, so that precise reception performance is obtained.
Dual Gate Mos FET is used for the RF stage, and Auto-DX circuit is built into the IF stage to automatically select Local ⇔ DX depending on the reception condition.
The detector circuit has excellent continuity and linearity over a wide band and employs a direct detector system that directly detects the IF signal. In addition, the demodulator circuit employs a DC-NFB-PLL-MPX circuit, and is equipped with a tracking-type pilot signal cancellation circuit and an antiinterference PLL circuit to achieve high resolution and high separation.
The AM section uses a high-gain AM circuit configuration and a high-Q high-sensitivity loop antenna.
A total of 10 AM/FM random presets are available.
In addition to the one touch direct tuning of preset stations, by switching the Tuning Mode switch, high-speed auto-search tuning can be selected with one touch only for stations above the level of practical use, and manual step tuning can be selected for weak stations.
Equipped with an initial station set function that allows you to select the desired station when the power is turned on next time regardless of FM/AM.
The signal quality indicator is displayed with 3 LED lights for local reception and 2 LED lights for DX reception.
