Commentary

This is a high-quality micro-size speaker system that uses traditional speaker design and woodworking techniques to polish the latest materials such as the first magnesium diaphragm for home audio.

7 cm cone type unit is used for the unit.
Magnesium, which is considered difficult to put into practical use due to its workability and weather resistance, is used as a diaphragm by high precision press technology and surface processing technology.
For the magnetic circuit, a 30-mm-diameter neodymium magnet with a magnetic force approximately 10 times that of a ferrite magnet (as compared to the departure rate) and a 25-mm-diameter voice coil with a strong force are used.
By adopting an inner magnetic structure in which the yoke part is located on the outside, it realizes anti-magnetization without a canceling magnet, and achieves both space factor and high sound quality without compromise.
Furthermore, by ensuring that the diaphragm is driven by a sufficient amount of ± 8 mm, high-quality playback is achieved with a well-balanced balance between low and high frequencies.

The enclosure is made by hollowing out 3-dimensional shape of solid mahogany carefully selected for its good sound.
In addition to controlling the generation of standing waves inside the cabinet, the form effectively prevents the diffraction of sound generated by the baffle surface. This form can be said to be the crystal of acoustic technology developed by Yamaha for many years.
The surface has a wine-red mirror-like urethane coating in the image of a wind instrument.

The semi-spherical speaker stand that firmly supports the enclosure is a solid brass machined product with a mass of approximately 500g. Yamaha's wind instrument factory is responsible for the entire process from polishing to clear painting, with a beautiful finish comparable to that of premium brass instruments.
In addition, the speaker elevation angle can be changed upward by about 10 degrees depending on the use condition, and the polishing cloth for brass instrument which is ideal for the care of the exterior including the cabinet is also included.

A gold plated speaker terminal for banana plug is used for the input part.

Comes with easy-to-remove magnet chuck-type sub RUNNET with excellent sound transparency.
