Commentary

This speaker system was developed by thoroughly examining each part based on the developers' own ears and sensitivity.

A 16 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The diaphragm has a catenary shape to accommodate a wide range of sound. In addition, the material is a mixture of mica and polypropylene, which has a flexible sound quality without breaking up to high frequencies. The mica content is determined by repeated cut-and-try cycles to achieve the best balance between strength and internal loss.
In addition, the center cap and cone are integrated to increase the strength and finish with the same material. This gives a solid and rich low range and eliminates the difference in sound between the cone and center cap.
The magnetic circuit uses an internal magnetic type columnar crystal alnico magnet, which is also used in the GF-1.

A 3 cm soft dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm is made of 80-loon cotton, which is impregnated with phenolic resin to ensure its strength. The volume of phenolic resin is also adjusted by repeating trial listening.

The enclosure is hermetically sealed, and the concept of VF value proposed by Yamaha for GF-1 is introduced, so that the cabinet interior volume is designed to be optimum for the unit diameter.
The baffle plate is made of American Hard Maple laminate core type. It has a total thickness of 27 mm with birch facing plates on both sides. In addition, the angle of the front baffle is cut to prevent the diffraction of sound waves. The other side is made of Weyerhaeuser particleboards with uniform density and rich sound with a total thickness of 20 mm. This plate is also made of birch facing materials. All exterior surfaces are finished with mirror finish.
